The Next II

The Next II: 2026 brings together a new generation of Nepali artists whose practices reflect the evolving landscape of contemporary art in Nepal. Curated by Roshan Bhandari, the exhibition is on view at Takpa Gallery.

Engaging themes of memory, mythology, spirituality, identity, environment, and personal narrative, these works are deeply rooted in local histories yet reinterpreted through contemporary visual languages. From sacred imagery and ritual practices to reflections on urban transformation and collective memory, the exhibition celebrates the creative depth, technical versatility, and conceptual richness emerging within Nepal's contemporary art scene.
